The nearest airport is Macedonia Airport (SKG) located at Thessaloniki, Greece. Macedonia airport is frequently connected to many European cities. Frequent links to Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos (ATH), ensure easy transfer from all destinations in the world.

A bus service will be organized by the Conference authorised travel agent (AETHRA TRAVEL SERVICES, M: congress@aethratravel.gr, Tel: +30 2310 539388, Fax: +30 2310 539544) for transportation of Prion 2009 participants from Macedonia Airport to Porto Carras and back. The timetable and the cost will be announced in the website at least one month prior to the meeting and will be based on arrival and departure schedules. Local staff at the Airport will facilitate the attendees.

Alternatively, Porto Carras can be reached by taxi (cost ~150 euro). All major car hire companies have desks at Macedonia Airport (for prices mail to: congress@aethratravel.gr) Driving from the airport to Porto Carras is approximately a two hours drive. From the airport follow the signs to Halkidiki. In ~60 km you will reach Nea Moudania. DO NOT ENTER IN NEA MOUDANIA. From there you have to follow the signs to Sithonia, NOT Kassandra. In ~35 you will be in Nikiti, and 3-4 km after Nikiti's traffic lights turn right, following the signs to Neos Marmaras.

Porto Carras is just after Neos Marmaras (~20km after Nikiti).
